I wasn't proven wrong on any count. Its easy to come up with a poll to back any claim you want to make. Here's my poll indicating that the majority of Americans OPPOSED the ObamaCare health reform legislation: From the New York Times no less: CBS/New York Times poll finds that 49 percent of Americans oppose Obamacare and just 37 percent support it. "We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it"-- Nancy Pelosi Well, people are starting to realize what is in it and how much it truly costs and guess what?...

Bush had very little to do with the bailout plan other than signing it into law but considering he was an extremely liberal republican, I wasn't surprised how much he supported it. Liberal democrats like to refer to the TARP bailout plan as something only the republicans wanted and nothing could be further from the truth. The democrats overwhelmingly supported it and the republicans strongly opposed it so it did NOT pass the first time around. Only after intense pressure was applied did the republicans cave and voted for it on the 2nd attempt. MikeJamm, it doesn't really matter if...

The Magazine They Hate Our Guts And they’re drunk on power. Nov 1, 2010, Vol. 16, No. 07 • By P.J. O'ROURKE Perhaps you’re having a tiny last minute qualm about voting Republican. Take heart. And take the House and the Senate. Yes, there are a few flakes of dander in the fair tresses of the GOP’s crowning glory—an isolated isolationist or two, a hint of gold buggery, and Christine O’Donnell announcing that she’s not a witch. (I ask you, has Hillary Clinton ever cleared this up?) Fret not over Republican peccadilloes such as the Tea Party finding the single,...

ObamaCare is 2700 pages long and the ONLY good thing about it is it forces EVERYONE to buy health insurance. As long as emergency rooms and hospitals around the country are FORCED to accept everyone regardless of their ability to pay for their medical care, then it should be a requirement that everyone be FORCED to buy medical insurance. Why should anyone bother to fork over their hard earned money for medical insurance when someone else who does NOT can go to any hospital and get free medical care? This is the reason why a 2 week stay in a...

Dante and JW (2 die-hard liberal democrats) both believe that Obama will beat Romney easily. Who would have ever thought that? There are 2 facts they both keep on ignoring: 1. Obama is trading at 51% @ Intrade whereby Bush was trading at 65% at this point in time 8 years ago. 2. The democrats got absolutely smashed in 2010 as the voters made it clear that they felt Obama needed to be restrained and that is exactly what the republicans have done. Below are the 3 markets at Intrade that really tell the story about which party is in favor...

2001-2006: President Bush is left with a country headed for certain recession after the Clinton administration and also had to deal with the tragedy of 9/11 in 2001. The unemployment rate starts at 4.2% and hits a high of 6.3% (with democrats like Salvan TRASHING Bush because the unemloyment rate was over 5%). Due to President Bush and the republican party's sound fiscal policies, the unemployment rate...

PhillyFlyers statement is 100% true as reporting agencies like CNN and Time release and spin news as they see fit to support the agenda they believe in. Intrade rips through all political bias and lets money do the talking and is far more accurate than any polls or useless CNN/Time opinions. With that being said PhillyFlyers, you might not like what Intrade has to say on which republican candidate will win the republican nomination: Trade 2012.REP.NOM.ROMNEY 74.5 74.9 Trade 2012.REP.NOM.GINGRICH 5.8 6.2 Trade 2012.REP.NOM.PAUL(RON) 6.7 7.5 Trade 2012.REP.NOM.HUNTSMAN 3.6 3.9 Trade 2012.REP.NOM.PERRY 1.5 1.7 Trade 2012.REP.NOM.BACHMANN 0.8 1.0 Trade ...

Translation = Raise taxes on everyone except Salvan. Labor unions have DESTROYED 1000's and 1000's of businesses as no company can compete globally if they make the foolish mistake of hiring union labor. Salvan can NOT name one company that is primarily run by union labor which competes favorably with another company in the same sector that is NOT under the hammerlock of a labor union. SBR is filled with people who get something for nothing in the form of SBR points and still complain that SBR is somehow robbing them with their casino and claiming that SBR trivia is too hard. Its no surprise that Obama is leading based on votes from SBR posters. JW, you have NOT paid a nickels worth of income tax since you moved to the U.S. 10 years ago and you have admitted as such. Therefore, any comments you have regarding taxes and who should be paying more CARRY NO WEIGHT WHATSOEVER until you start paying your fair share. Obama...
From CNN Breaking News a few hours ago: Senate Republicans have blocked a Democratic measure to extend the payroll tax cut and assess a new tax on income over $1 million to help pay for it.
Sixty votes were needed for passage. The vote was 50-48.
A separate Republican bill to extend the payroll tax cut calls for freezing federal pay as well as reducing the federal workforce by 10%, provisions rejected by Obama and Democrats.
The lower payroll tax rate is set to expire at the end of the year.
While the democrats claim they care about the middle...
